Shandong Sunhe Power Technology Co., Ltd and Academician Workstation R & D Center established by Academician Hou Baorong and his team who work for Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences mainly integrate production, study and research to realize the anti-corrosion industrialization, and more importantly research and develop new technology for current anti-corrosion problems of various pipelines and fittings in the anti-corrosion fields. At the same time, we will promote and apply OTC (Oxidative Polymerization Coating Anti-corrosion Technology), PTC (Petrolatum Tape and Covering System) and other technologies developed by the Research Institute to power industry.
Academician Hou Baorong is one of the pioneers in the study of marine corrosion environment and marine corrosion protection in China, takes charge of the investigation and study of the coastal corrosion environment in China, clearly puts forward the concept of “marine corrosion environment” and has established the theoretical system of marine corrosion environment. He won the first-class and second-class prizes of Shandong Science and Technology Progress Awards with “ Corrosion technology and anti-corrosion technology of steel facilities in the marine environment” which was researched for a a few years and the second-class prize of Chinese Academy of Sciences Progress Awards and invented 29 patents, and advocated and established the Sino Japanese Joint Research Center for marine corrosion environment and served as the first director and trained more than ten postdoctoral students, doctoral students and masters.
Academician Hou Baorong devotes himself to the research and promotion of anti-corrosion technology in the wave splash zone, and develops Oxidative Polymerization Coating Anti-corrosion Technology with independent intellectual property rights, has taken charge of the national support plans of “11th Five-Year” and “12th Five-Year”, and over 30 major projects such as 973 Projects and 863 Project, published 5 monographs. Among them, the Japanese monograph Anti-corrosion Technology of Marine Corrosion Food Environment was appraised by Japanese experts as “laying the foundation for corrosion environment research, as a textbook.” As a chief editor, he wrote 9 papers such as the “Corrosion Research and Protection Technology” and so on, published more than 360 papers (including more than 200 collected by SCI / EI ) and got more than 70 authorization certificates of invention patent, including more than 30 invention patents. He was awarded 12 provincial and ministerial level awards such as the second-class prize of National Science and Technology Progress Awards in 2002, the best prize of Shandong Science and Technology in 2009, the first-class and second-class prizes of Shandong Science and Technology Progress Awards, and the second-class prize of Chinese Academy of Sciences Progress Awards.
